Meagan Linton is a native of Cheraw, South Carolina, and has been with Glover, Young, Hammack, Walton and Simmons, PLLC since the fall of 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Clemson University in December 2009, and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May 2013.

While in law school, Meagan was an Executive Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal, a participant in the 2013 L. Edward Bryant Jr. National Health Law Transactional Competition, and a member of the Student Health Law Association, the Library Advisory Board, and the Pro Bono Initiative. She was a Research Assistant for Professor Deborah H. Bell, a Teacher's Assistant for the Legal Research and Writing Department, and a circulation desk employee at the Grisham Law Library. Meagan also participated in the Cambridge Study Abroad Program, a program jointly sponsored by Downing College of Cambridge University and the University of Mississippi School of Law. Finally, Meagan earned the Outstanding Student Award in Family Law, Constitutional Law II, and Federal Jurisdiction.

Prior to joining Glover, Young, Hammack, Walton and Simmons, PLLC, Meagan clerked for United States District Court Judge Debra M. Brown in Greenville, Mississippi.  During law school, Meagan served a law clerk for both the Office of the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor in Greenville, South Carolina, and the Office of the District Attorney for Madison and Rankin Counties in Canton, Mississippi.

Meagan is currently building a general practice with an emphasis in civil defense litigation. She is licensed to practice in Mississippi and South Carolina, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi and South Carolina Bars, the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Lauderdale County Bar Association, the National Association of Professional Women, the Young Professionals of Meridian, and the Meridian Symphony League.

In her spare time, Meagan enjoys reading, spinning, travel, and watching Clemson football. Meagan is proud to call Meridian home and hopes to continue to build a versatile practice with Glover, Young, Hammack, Walton and Simmons, PLLC.
